    Between the years 1935 and 1970 - Virgil Finlay left his mark on the filed of Science-Fantasy, producing a total of more than 2,800 examples of his art. To his legion of fans, he was far more than an illustrator; he was an intricate part of the stories that were introduced by his creativity.

    This volume is divided into three sections - SELECTED ILLUSTRATIONS by Virgil Finlay, VIRGIL FINLAY, AN APPRECIATION by Sam Moskowitz, and a VIRGIL FINLAY CHECKLIST by Gerry de la Ree.
