Reprints from Frisky Fables. An interesting issue in that the title character, Spunky, the Smiling Spook, does not appear anywhere in this comic. There is a Spunky story, but the title character in the story is a small kangaroo. Why the change which appears to have been done at the last minute? We'll probably never know. Untitled story, art by Al Fago; Boston Bully calls people names and gets turned into the animals that he calls them. Untitled story, art by Marty Taras; Frosty and Gabbie find a milk-making machine. Untitled story, art by Harold Abbey; Pidgy paints a bear and gets into a fight with it. "Rootitoot" text story. Stories and art by Harold Abbey and others. Spunky looks quite a bit like Casper, but is actually a spinoff of Farrell's Frisky Fables series. Spunky becomes the sheriff of a Western ghost town - populated by ghosts, of course. Dopsy Durvy decides to "fix" the Jack and the Beanstalk story, and winds up confronting the giant himself. Pidgy Parrot uses his Magic Paint to sail to the South Seas, but runs afoul of the ocean god Neptune.
