Fortunately, Aunt May's condition has stabilized; so the restless web-slinger can leave her side...and find the nearest super-villain to pound! Ironically, the deadly Scorpion is in the vicinity and looking for a good scrap too! At a nearby cement processing plant, both men get their wish! The Amazing Spider-Man vs. the sinister Scorpion! Peter Parker travels to Florida for a photo story on the mysterious Man-Thing. Before departing on his trip though, Peter calls his long-time friend and current sunshine state resident, Dr. Curt Connors, and asks for his assistance in locating the powerful swamp creature. Later on when the web-slinger arrives in Florida, he finds a creature of the swamp all right; but it's not the Man-Thing ? it's the Lizard! The three-way battle among the Lizard, Man-Thing, and the Amazing Spider-Man is awesome! Also in this issue, Peter consoles the confused clone of Gwen Stacy.
