What makes it "a new kind of comic book" (as the cover says) is that the stories are interrupted periodically with tips on gun safety, proper fishing techniques, etc. Bob and his father go on a Rocky Mountain sheep hunt and risk their lives to pursue a large buck. Bob rides the rapids to Eagle Lake, where he fishes for rainbow trout and hopes to catch the legendary King of the Lake.
